Private backyard wedding on Whidbey Island, WA

I love a backyard wedding at a private home. It always means tons of personal touches and details - no two backyard weddings are alike! The two recently moved to the island to start their homestead, and wanted to bring all their friends and family there to see their new home and celebrate their marriage. Big Grateful Dead fans, the bride was barefoot on her wedding day and wore a Stevi Knix inspired dress with 70’s sleeves. I loved how it caught the light… We took photos in their vintage mercedes, and lots of golden light portraits after cocktail hour which were my fav. Lots of shots were had and beers were shotgunned!
