COVID-19 AND YOUR WEDDING

COVID-19 Wedding FAQ for 2020 Cancelled/Rescheduled Weddings

What a mess! I am so sorry you are dealing with this during what is supposed to be one of the happiest events of your life. Our city/state/nations most recent recommendations are to limit gatherings to 10 or fewer people, so as I’m sure you know, holding a wedding during this pandemic is probably not the best idea if we want to keep people healthy! I have put together a FAQ below to help people navigate how they would like to move forward with the photography of their nuptials.

As I’m sure you can imagine, those of us in the “event” industry are losing most if not all of our work for the coming months, so if we can work with clients to reschedule rather than outright cancel our services, that helps us stay in business and will also save you the cost of paying a new deposit with a new photographer. Please scroll to the bottom to see my list of current available dates for rescheduling weddings during this calendar year.

Can I change/push my date?
As long as I am available, and your new date is before April 30th of 2021, I am happy to credit your 50% deposit toward your new date, and your final 50% will be due one week before the new date. If your new date is AFTER April of 2021, you may apply your deposit to any date OTHER THAN a Saturday during high season [May 1st to October 16th]. If your new date is a Saturday during high season of 2021, there will be an additional 30% fee charged to compensate for lost income.

What if I need to cancel and not reschedule?
You will be refunded everything you’ve paid beyond the 50% deposit.

Can I elope instead?
Yes, if you wish to elope without scheduling a new event, you may apply your 50% deposit to an elopement package, and pay the additional difference (if any).

Can I elope AND reschedule the wedding?
If you wish to elope AND reschedule your wedding and apply your 50% deposit to that new date, your final 50% will be due at the time of your new wedding date, and your elopement can be booked as a separate package. Elopements resulting from a postponed wedding booked with me, are priced at $300/hr of coverage + travel fees of $1/mile over 30 miles from Seattle.

What if you (the photographer) are not available on our desired new date?
If I am unavailable on your new date, I will offer to have an Associate photographer document your wedding in my place - I will still provide all other services and communication including your pre-wedding consultation to discuss your day and create your photography timeline, as well as edit and deliver your final gallery and print products, so your final wedding images will be consistent with my photographic style and quality. I can also guarantee that my Associate will not be a downgrade! I will choose someone from my network with a photographic style, and level of experience and professionalism that is equal to mine. You will also be introduced to my Associate during our pre-wedding consult so they are not a stranger on your wedding day. If you choose this option I will also take 10% off your package price.
