The Editing Queue & Other Things

 

Are you waiting on photos? I know how exciting it is when you’re waiting on a gallery… I’m creating a page to hopefully make you feel less in the dark:

I will try and keep this list updated once a week, and add the most recent date to the top of the list so you know how current it is. Generally, my goal is to deliver at the deadlines below. However, sometimes this doesn’t happen because it’s summertime and I also take a few weeks off in the summer to be with family and friends.

  • Wedding Previews within 2 weeks

  • Full Wedding Galleries within 2-3 months

  • Family Galleries within 3 weeks

  • Engagements within 4 weeks

WHY THE WAIT?

Preview galleries slow down delivery times quite a bit. I did a poll last year, and most couples prefer to get a preview and then wait longer for galleries, rather than wait less time for the full gallery. A preview takes me at least a couple work days because I go through all ~4K images to select the 1-2K I will edit, then pick 200+ from there to edit for the preview gallery, and then narrow that down again for the final 75-150 that I’ll include in the preview. Some galleries take longer than others for me to dial in, in terms of the edit (colors, exposure). There is a lot of pressure on the preview gallery, because it will be shared widely and I don’t want it to veer too far from the final edit. I care deeply about your images, and so these things take time, thank you for your patience! I also spend a lot of time prepping and communicating about upcoming weddings, booking future clients, emails/inquiries, and all the other fun back end work :)

Your gallery has been delivered, now what?

PRINT CREDIT - If your package included a print credit, it will be included in the gallery SHOP. Not there? Send me an email. It should apply at checkout, to the individual print product.

USB - All my standard packages include a USB. I mail these out at the END OF THE SEASON, so this will be around November. I will get in touch for your mailing address then.

ALBUMS - You can create your own albums in the SHOP, or order a custom luxury album via the ALBUMS page, just fill out the form to get started!
